What is infrared warmth?

deco_infrared With LEXIN’s new technology, the Heating panels are able to produce long-wave invisible infrared light at a wavelength of 10µ (10,000nm). This is called the “far infrared”. Under the control of the LEXIN regulator, the panels typically operate at film temperatures in the 176-212º F range (80-100º C)

Because of LEXIN produces infrared at a very long wavelength, the air resistance (collision with air molecules) is virtually nonexistent; hence the range is greater than with shortwave infrared. Because of this, nearly 100% of the waves produced by the LEXIN panels are used to warm the walls, surfaces, floor, and other objects within the space. All surfaces exposed to the infrared are warmed up evenly. These in turn, will produce warmth which heat up the air in the room. The panels do not heat the air in a room, but the objects within provide for a pleasant ambient temperature.

The Product

The heater consists of a pre-stressed safety glass panel that is 6-7 more impact resistant than normal windowpane pane. It is mounted in an Aluminum frame or plastic housing. The glass is designed to crumble into many small blunt pieces if it ever breaks. The housing typically does not exceed 104º F (40° Centigrade).

LEXIN does not require any special closets or rooms to facilitate its equipment, there are no tanks, blowers, pipes or chimneys, minimizing installation costs and saving space.

Optional Colors, prints or finish

With LEXIN, you have the option of purchasing a standard panel (black or white, smooth or textured), or you may elect to purchase a custom decorated panel* in a wide range of colors and patterns (additional cost). These may be specially colored glass, silk-screened, painted, etc. You may also provide your own artwork; in most cases, we are able to apply this to the heating panel.

*Important Note:

Please note that this requires special paints and inks. With certain materials it may be necessary to limit the surface temperature to prevent the darkening of the paint.
